HR Assistant

Ideally the candidate will have previous experience in human resources and a leadership position managing other people. As an HR assistant, you will have to stay up to date with how the company runs, the wellbeing of the team, and the development and continuous improvement of the employee handbook. You should be able to communicate well with people across the whole team.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding
  • Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state and federal regulations
  • Develop training materials and performance management programs to help ensure employees understand their job responsibilities
  • Create a compensation strategy for all employees based on market research and pay surveys; keeps the strategy up to date
  • Investigate employee issues and conflicts and brings them to resolution
  • Ensure the organization’s compliance with local, state and federal regulations
  • Develop and maintain Employee Handbook

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Great communicator and personable in talking to other people.
  • Ability to work remotely and be self-motivated
  • Proven experience in Human Resources
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment driven by data and creative excellence
  • Excellent organization and planning skills with ability to multi-task
  • Able to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude
  • Comfortability and experience with data entry and hiring processes
  • Knowledgeable in labor and employment laws

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Degree or Equivalent
  • 1+ year of human resource and leadership experience
